UN/CUBE

On April 12, 2020, UN/CUBE was spontaneously launched in the midst of the pandemic crisis. We thought that a strong solidarity between artists was more crucial than ever, therefore we invented and utilized a curatorial system that promotes solidarity above competition. We believed, and still do that the art world should be more inclusive and democratic: it should be accessible to a wider audience, and the current, sometimes obsolete means of displaying art should be revised. For this reason, all exhibiting artists at UN/CUBE were also curators of the subsequent shows: they designated the next exhibitors, possible themes and subjects.
.
UN/CUBE is completely and proudly non-commercial, non-profit and non-compromised. In the 2 years of the platform's active period, we have organized 9 online shows, with the participation of 39 inspiring womxn artists and collectives. In addition, we hosted more than 10 experimental, online performantive events, exploring and extending the limits of online streaming today.
.
A heartfelt thanks to all the wonderful artists, contributors, and friends who made UN/CUBE happen!

Although UN/CUBE is in a deep slumber, we are happy to respond to any inquiries regarding the archive, via email. We are also reachable via Instagram.
